The Community First Initiative Highlights & Provides various forms of Support to Non-profits, Businesses, & Community Groups/Leaders who are Creating Real Pact in their Communities, while also driving resources to local communities in need.
The Community First Initiative launched in May and has benefited Communities In Schools-Charlotte, The Historic Cherry Neighborhood, New Generation of African American Philanthropists, #WestComplex. We look forward to supporting Charlotte Black Pride, Block Love Charlotte, & Jumping Dreams Double Dutch!
To address issues of food insecurity in Charlotte & Surrounding Communities, BBOC established a low-income food access initiative in partnership with local corporations, non-profits, restaurants,
food trucks, & farmers. Food insecure households face a mountain hill of challenges to simply have access to affordable, locally-grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and Hot Foods, that are a necessary component of a fulsome, nutritious diet. BBOC continually seeks philanthropic community support for the specific purpose of supporting the
low-income F.E.T.A. program.
